Remember that the information on this site is not guaranteed accurate. Take it with a grain of salt as we do not have rock solid evidence of everyone's vital info, especially distant relations several tiers back.

This site also focuses on the following surnames: Canfield, Leggett, Paisley, Francis, Murphy, and Day. We do this simply because these are the lines about which we have the most information.

"My" branch of the Cannon family is descended from Moses Cannon. He, along with his wife Rachel, is listed as a resident of Harford County, Maryland in the census of 1776.

Moses' son Erasmus migrated to Harrison County, Ohio with his wife, Mary Bowman, and children in about 1815. Erasmus is my ggggg-grandfather. I currently live about an hour north of the plot of land originally settled by Erasmus and his family.

I've been fortunate enough to fill in most of the blanks between myself and Moses, but unfortunately can't go back any farther than him. If you have any information about Moses, his wife Rachel, or any of their ancestors, please drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you!

To navigate this site, simply use the links on the left. The top most link of family names takes you to the surname page, from there you can click to the alphabetical list of individual names.
